Confetti Heart

Cloaked within
The depth of my core
Lives a muse who can bend
To the life she unfolds.

Feeling it all
Anger, fervor, and joy
She pumps life through my veins
This heart I adore.

At dawn she will bleed
Shades of coral, rose, peach
Self-healing in moments
She is always complete.

My heart is silver
Like confetti in broad daylight
Caught between giggles
Of snow-infused sleigh-rides.

At sunset she's golden
Her sparkle, demur.
And a glimpse of her at midnight
Begs her return.
